OmniCuff System for Hand Weakness
Left pic of OmniCuff System for Hand Weakness against white background. Rt pic of same system with a hand controlling it.

The OmniCuff System for Hand Weakness consists of three parts-Adapter, Connector, and Basemount, which are designed to make it easier to pick up and swap a hand-held device (e.g., eating utensil, cell phone, hand tool, cup). The Adapter is a magnetic metal strip affixed to a strap that wraps around the palm of the hand or the wrist, whereas the Connector-also with a magnetic metal strip-is fastened to each device via double-sided adhesive, Velcro strap, or screws. The two magnets coming into contact with each other is what allows one to lift and utilize the device. The rotatable Basemount, which can be attached to a wheelchair, bedrail, or other surface via quick-release clamp, has six metal poles onto which devices are stored until accessed by the Adapter.
